CRISP is recognised by the French Community of Belgium (Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles) as a lifelong education association. The contributions of its researchers to debates, conferences and training, or interviews in the media, combine both precise and rigorous information and the keys to understanding the political, social or economic realities addressed. In this way, CRISP aims to enable citizens to understand the ins and outs of the issues in which they are involved, or to bring to their attention questions and subjects which are likely to arise during such engagement. Since 2009, this approach has been reinforced by the provision online of two types of publications, which are detailed below.
- Analyses are texts which are just a few pages long, and relate to current events or a topic which is the subject of public debate. Written at the initiative of CRISP or at the request of other organisations, they are initially published in Les @nalyses du CRISP en ligne or in other periodicals before being included in this collection.
- Studies go into more detail and aim to identify the different facets of a topic and to offer a broad vision to citizens who are interested or concerned about the subject. They are published either as livres or in the Courrier hebdomadaire.
